“Innovation Is Moving At A Scarily Fast Pace”
We had fun here on the Amplify blog earlier this week disagreeing with Freeman Thomas, and today we’re going to argue with an even more famous innovator, Bill Gates. We like to think about innovation a lot here at Amplify, which is a good thing because we MUST think about innovation a lot if we want to continue to excel in our industry. Bill Gates isn’t wrong about the speed of technological innovation, it is proceeding at an incredible rate, it has been for decades, and by all indications this process is only going to speed up even more in the years to come.
We are going to disagree with him when it comes to characterizing this speed as a scary thing. When you’re not informed of changes or involved in driving change, innovation can indeed be a scary thing, especially when it’s happening at incredible speeds. But this is why we do what we do: we like innovation, we study and research constantly to ensure that we’re up to speed on the changes that are coming, and in our own field we innovate constantly to ensure that we’re always giving our clients the best possible technical and design solutions.
