Most days here on the Amplify Media blog we tend to write about our company, our clients, or our industry. But today we’re broadening our focus to look at our community, and specifically at the efforts of a new civic group to make Dartmouth a more prosperous, more inclusive, and more vibrant place for all of its citizens.
Last night marked the first meeting of the Dartmouth Young Professionals, and we were very happy to send a representative from Amplify Media to attend. This group of local entrepreneurs, public sector workers, artisans, and professionals of all stripes aims to meet monthly to facilitate a dialogue on ‘community, business, current events and politics’. Judging from the inaugural discussion, there is a lot to be said, and a lot of local people who are excited to be a part of the discussion.
Any efforts to create connections between the people who work and live in Dartmouth, and to discuss the issues that affect us (positively and negatively) can only help make Dartmouth a better place for everyone. We’re already very fortunate to live in a community populated by gifted and giving individuals. Giving those individuals a platform and an incentive to work together will undoubtedly lead to great things for our community, and we’re very excited to be there at the beginning of it all.
